Welcome my Journal

I really don't have too much to say just now.  I'm new at this lj thing, and as my older kids will tell you, I'm totally not the type.  Not edgy enough.   It's a typical day at our house: chaos, confusion, disorganization, and disorder.  Five year old daughter is wandering about in bride costume, telling everyone how to live their lives.  Bridezilla already.  I'm SO proud.  Twelve year old is trying to lose herself in a book in order to mentally escape the fact that her skate bag was lost/stolen today.  Twenty-two year old daughter called in to report near miss in starring roll as the pedestrian in a pedestrian vs. auto accident.  Haven't heard from eighteen year old son, but twenty-two year old reports that he was out running and grumpy about being interrupted doing same.  Best of  all, Mr. Bear (husband) has uncharacteristically wandered in before 11 pm and is currently making dinner.  So, a happy ending tonight.

To Know the Dark

To go in the dark with a light is to know the light.
To know the dark, go dark. Go without sight,
and find that the dark, too, blooms and sings,
and is travelled by dark feet and dark wings.

Up in the morning's no for me,
Up in the morning early;
When a' the hills are covered wi' snaw,

Butterflies swirling in your dreams.
